Bill Shirer is board-certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Shirer received both his bachelor of Business Administration and his Doctor of Jurisprudence (1986) from the University of Texas at Austin.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Dallas and Texas Trial Lawyers Associations and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Mr. Shirer speaks Spanish well, having lived in Spain and worked in Chile. He and his wife are the proud parents of twin daughters. Mr. Shirer is quite active in sports. Currently he rides and races bicycles, and holds a Cat 3 certification. He also has a long history of triathlon participation. He has raced the Hawaii Ironman twice, as well as three World Age Group Triathlon Championships. He has been ranked as a top age group triathlete both nationally and in Texas.
